About AmplituD

AMPLITUD was founded in 2017 with the desire to work with Latin queer and female new voices. Through international co-productions and a focus in Latin-America we were able to create a sustainable model that allowed us to tell the stories we wanted to tell without compromises. Ultimately, we are seeking for all voices and stories that offer new points of view and challenge  prejudices and fixed perceptions of the world we live in making space for the want we want to create.

AMPLITUD aims to establish solid creative relations with  filmmakers and participate in viable projects that allow it to grow with those it collaborates with. Our goal is to be a partner that expands the life and impact of our projects trough careful and curated release and distributions strategies.

AMPLITUD first co-production, La Camarista, opened in TIFF, travelled to more than seventy international film festivals and was Mexico’s selection for the 2019 Academy Awards. In two years AMPLITUD has co-produced and participated in three international narrative feature films, two documentaries and two short films.

The company was created by Axel Shalson, Pau Brunet and Jana Díaz Juhl, whose collective credits include titles such at La Camarista (México), 10,000KM (Spain) , Anchor and Hope (Spain),  We are the Hit (Colombia) and Nobody is Watching (Argentina / Colombia / Spain).

Collectively, their films have been selected and awarded in the most prestigious international film festivals including TIFF, San Sebastián, SXSW, IDFA, Rotterdam, Morelia, Guadalajara, Málaga or Los Cabos.
